Regularly rated one of the top pumpkin patches in both Arkansas and the South, Peebles Farm has been a fall family destination since it opened to the public in 2005. Drawing in families and kids of all ages with their assortment of seasonal activities a visit to Peebles Farm is one of our favorite things to do each season.
As is the case with many agricultural operations and agri-tourism destinations, Peebles Farm and the Peebles Family has experienced ups and downs over the years. Family health issues, operational costs and weather have all wreaked havoc at one time or another but the last few years have been a boom and new attractions keep the farm fresh and exciting each season.
Top attractions at Peebles Farm
Each year Peebles designs and HAND-CUTS a 16-acre corn maze. They choose to hand-cut because it helps to keep the paths clean and hard so they are accessible to all. This year their maze features an 8-point buck.
The sunflower field is one of my favorite parts of the pumpkin patch. Each year we’ve taken a picture of George in the sunflowers and it’s fun to see how he has grown.
Of course, everyone loves the pumpkin patch! Peebles has 60 acres of pumpkins and the store at the entrance to the farm is fully stocked with many varieties. You don’t have to pay an admission fee to pick up pumpkins.
I think the slide was new in 2018 but some improvements were made to it over the summer to make the landing a little more comfortable. The slide at Peebles Farm is a favorite of everyone in our family!
New attractions in 2019
This year’s new attractions include hamster wheel races and a kids’ zipline. Both are included with admission but are only open during daylight hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The zipline is limited to people under 100 pounds.
