I fell in love with paddleboarding a few years ago.
We were in Florida and I saw someone on a board. I immediately became curious. For the next year, I looked for a place to try paddle boarding when we returned to Florida.
In June of 2014, I finally got on a board. We found a small shop that offered rentals and tours. It was one of the first in Panama City Beach.
I loved it. I was hooked. Even though it would be two years before I found myself on another paddle board, I thought about it frequently.
This summer, I was anxious to try it again.
In the last two years, several paddleboard shops have popped up and many will deliver the board right to your house or condo and pick it up at the end of the day.
The surf was set to be pretty calm so we ordered a rental. I loved it and knew I needed to be on the water more.
When we got back from Florida, I set about getting my own SUP.
In the last few months, I have become passionate about this new sport and have spent countless days on the lake just enjoying life.
