Not all bugs sprays are created equal! If you walk through the Outdoors section at Walmart you are likely to see a host of insect repellent products. So, which one is the best? Well, it depends on your use!

Hiking with Kids
I love going on hikes with my little guy. He is so full of wonder and loves to explore. Collecting leaves, pinecones and sticks are his joy. He’s usually pretty good at making himself happy but there are a few things I like to do to make sure he not only has fun but is safe too.

Bring water for you and your child.
Hydration is so important – even on a short walk. My little guy has his own water bottle that he loves to drink out of.
Carry a map and compass.
Even if you intend to follow the marked trail you should always have a compass and a map. If your little one takes off running and you lose the trail it is so easy to get turned around and confused.
Bring a camera.
You want to document the hike as well as any scenic views or interesting things you see along the way and a small digital camera is a great way to do that.
Protect yourself from bugs.
