3 Kitchen Tools I Can’t Live Without

Sharing is caring!

I spend a lot of time in my kitchen and have used a lot of kitchen tools over the years. There are a few things that I have grown to love that I could not imagine being without.  These three kitchen tools top my list of must-haves.

Garlic Roaster

My mom got me my garlic roaster about ten or twelve years ago as a Christmas gift and I use it pretty often. Garlic is great but roasted garlic is amazing. The flavor becomes rich and nutty and not as pungent as raw garlic. Sure you can roast garlic in the oven but this handy little machine gets the job done in a jiffy without heating up the house!

Check out these recipes that use roasted garlic:

Cast Iron Skillet

I feel bad for people that don’t have a gas range. I love the flexibility of it because I LOVE using a cast iron skillet. I have had a large 14″ skillet forever but recently got a new 10″ skillet. Lodge is my favorite maker of cast iron. They are based in the Smoky Mountains of Tennesse.  When the fires devestated much of Gatlinburg in late 2016, Lodge offered a special, limited-edition skillet to raise money for those who lost everything in the fires. I was happy to purchase this product knowing half of what I paid went directly to the people who needed it most. You can find out more about Lodge Cast Iron by clicking here

Cast Iron is great to cook with. Here are a few of my favorite recipes:

Immersion (Stick) Blender

Whoever invented the immersion blender was a genius! I don’t have time to or space to use a full-size blender and my stick blender is so powerful, I don’t need a full-size blender. The best part is you can use the immersion blender in the container you are cooking in! Immersion blenders are great for making dips, pureeing soups and they can even tackle ice for a great frozen drink!
