Independence Day Marshmallow Pops

Sharing is caring!

The first time I had a marshmallow dipped in chocolate was at a tiny amusement park in Panama City Beach, Florida. The park was centered around a great circle of food trucks, one of which sold all kinds of chocolate dipped confections.  They had chocolate dipped pretzels, crisped rice treats, bananas, apples, and marshmallows.  Some were then coated in chopped nuts, dried coconut or colorful sprinkles. The possibilities are nearly endless and these Patriotic Marshmallows Pops make a great Independence Day snack.

Red and Blue Melting Chocolate
Red, White and Blue Sprinkles

Melt the red and blue chocolate in separate bowls by following the directions on the bag. Spear marshmallows with a paper straw. Carefully dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate and then into the colorful sprinkles. I like to leave a little of the white marshmallow showing at the top but feel free to dunk all the way in if you prefer. Set each decorated marshmallow on a piece of tinfoil sprayed with cooking spray. Let sit at room temperature for about an hour or until the chocolate hardens. If room allows, you can set them in the fridge to harden quicker. These should be consumed within 24-48 hours for maximum freshness.
